This is all about collecting cardboard-mostly from dumpsters. We don’t tend to see these as beautiful images-they are just labels on shipping boxes. People who may have seen the boxes every day, may suddenly recognize the beauty of the images when they are contextualized as an artwork.

“Opportunity” is the name of the photographing robot, which has been sending us images from the Red Planet since 2004. It reached the Mars Endeavour Crater in 2011. It was only supposed to operate for 92 days; in February 2018 it hit 5000 days.
